Gift Wrapping (Lack of it)
I ordered a baby shower gift from the Toys R Us web site. Received the package on Jan 5, 2012; the shower will be on Jan 7.
After paying $5.95 for gift wrap, the package arrived with gift paper only. No ribbon, not even a bow. If the gift card exists, it's in the box...which of course I am not going to open. I only hope the bear is as shown on the web site.
I won't know until it is opened at the shower. But paying $5.95 for only gift paper is a rip-off!!!!
Toys"R"Us return Scam
I purchased a table and chair set on-line for my daughter for Christmas and on Christmas day when she opened it the table was broken. I tried to return it the day after Christmas with the confirmation order print out that toysrus emailed me with the item and box it came in and ToysRUs refused to return it because the box was opened.
I decided to go to another ToyRus and they refused because the return shipment label was not in the box. I contacted customer service and they stated there is nothing they can do its mine to keep. I also purchased a Fureal Pony for my daughter that was broken this alone I will never shop at ToysRus they have no working items but for this item I did not have my receipt I just wanted to exchange it and I used my rewards card which I was told could be used to track the sale but no in the end I am stuck with $300 with junk from ToyRUs on Christmas.
HAD THE ITEMS WORKED I WOULDNT HAVE BEEN DOING A RETURN. No other store has ever treated me so bad.
Item Not Received as Promised
I placed an order with Toys R Us for several items and the items were shipped in separate packaging. I received one box and one of the items that was listed as shipped was not in the box.
I called Toys R Us and I was assured that the item would go out next day and I would receive it by Christmas. I didn't receive the item so I called the day after Christmas and spoke with customer service. I was told the my credit card was credited for the amount and that the item was not available.
And...one of the other items did not work and all I got was an apology. Never and I repeat never will I shop at Toys R Us online or in the store..
Racist Toys R Us employees and managers JAN, 2012
I was attempting to make a return at the Langley,BC location. long story short as I wasted enough time dealing with low life's .
I was called a *** by an employee. It took a lot to walk away and find a store manager who when informed asked me to wait a minute. I never seen the manager again only security coming at me like I did something wrong asking me to leave the store.
I sure did make my first and last return at KKK R US . I wish this had happened years ago before all the money went to the clan.
Toys R Us
I have shopped Toys R Us for years and tonight was the worst shopping experience I've ever had with this store. I've watched this store decline over the last year.
It is located on Harbison Boulevard in Columbia, SC. The store is absolutely filty and the staff have not received any customer service training -NONE! They were rude and used the excuse that they had been working around the clock, because the store has been open 24 hours. All I expect is to be treated with courtesy and that when someone opens a new lane that they take the next customer in line, instead of the one who jumps in front of others.
I would expect the clerk to ask the others if they would like to move over and if they choose not to, then take the person who jumps in front of others.
The staff said the store was dirty because of the high traffic - Excuses, Excuses, Excuses!! I made up my mind tonight, I'm taking my business to other stores like Target, a company that values quality and service!
ToysRUs Worst Ever
Bought a Barbie Kitchen online, then went on sale for $20 cheaper a week later. Customer service didn't want to match their own lower price, so I had to go to the store to buy a new one at a lower price and return it right there with the higher price receipt.
What a waste of customer time. The customer service on the phone was useless.
I asked for the manager and she said none was available and that other agent will tell me the same thing; that they don't price match their own pricing. I am very disappointed about their services.

I agree - I was missing some parts and they responded within a few hours even on Christmas Vacation! I already have the toys! Thank you so much!, I wanted to say thank you, thank you for not only giving great customer service, but fast delivery and you didn't even charge me for the items missing...your products are very easy to work with and your directions are clear and concise.
Toys r us bad business
I ordered a item online from toys r us and it was cancelled because item wasn't in stock. Only to find out my credit card still showed pending amount for that item.
Called credit card co was told it would stay as pending until 3rd of jan. Called Toys R Us was told they couldn't doing anything and that all the supervisors were busy when I wanted to speak to one. Is that good business? I want everyone to know this is how Toys R Us does business.
It is the holiday season and now I cannot use that money until jan 3rd!
Thats wrong when it's probably as easy as pushing a button! BEWARE!!!!!!
Toys R' Us
A relative purchased a Cinderella Carriage Toy for my daughter (3 years old) for Christmas. When we opened the package, we found a white pill taped (some type of sleeping pill) inside of the packaging. It appears that the item was returned to Toys R' Us and then repackaged and resold to us. There was someone elses name on an order tag taped on the box.
We called Toys R' Us to notify them of this incident and they have been horrible. The customer service rep yelled at my wife telling her that we should have returned the item on Christmas Eve when it was open and then told her that it was the manufacturers problem not Toys R Us. We have since been contacted by the corporate office who told us that it was a problem for Mattell the manufacturer and not them. We have told Toys R Us several times that we are not trying to get anything from them and just want an explination about how this potentially dangerous incident happened.
They have told us that they dont need to provide any kind of explination and at this point are not even returing our calls anymore. They never even offered to replace the toy.
A representative from Mattelle (the manufaturer) did call us and they were very nice. We told them about our treatment from Toys R Us and they were also shocked by it.
FREE ITEMS
I recently placed a rather large order on line and bought 2 barbie junior laptops, because they came with a FREE piece of Luggage. Only to be told I did not put it in my cart. Last year I was told that
the item I ordered with a free gift was sent but the FREE gift was out of stock. Why would you not want something that is supposed to be free. I really do not think I will shop at Toys R Us anymore..
I called to talk to a manager only to be told they were ALL busy and would get a call back in the next 24 hours. I am not happy at all.

Lawsuit for Toys R Us on returning policy.
I have bought my son a radio control car toy and he was open the box and recharge the battery right away. Next thing we know the car was not running at all.
We went back to store at first i just want to return the toy car and get my son a new one, but the worker in there told us that "Open toy box can not return" What is going on with that, if i did not open the box, how are my son suppose to play with the toy!!!! The worker still resisted that i can not return, but only exchange and they will have to open the new box that they will exchanged for us. How on earth is gonna work that way? I bought the toy for it, did not ask it for free and that is my money that i pay for it.....nobody got to open the toy without my permission.
That is what i told them. So i asked to spoke to the store manager, but they called an "assistant's manager" which it he told us the he is a biggest one in the store. I looked at the employee badge and point to him that you are not the biggest one in the store, and I request to see a "real store manager" not the one that wanna be. A store manager came and spoke to us, but he still insisted that can not return the item.
My husband was so mad told him that "Return my money right now or otherwise give us back a recipe and the item, we will spoke to our lawyer to sue you." Store manager suddenly changed his act and talk nice to us and refund our money back an apologized for inconvenience. I really don't care how much it cost for the toy but the way that Toys R Us policy and the worker treating the customer is "DISRESPECT" customer.

Altering orders after processing, removing sale items due to 'out of stock issues this time of year'
Placed an order 11/23 for several items, order was placed, TRU processed the order and then I was notified the free and reduced promo items were 'out of stock' and therefore removed from my order (which meant those 'deals' that led me to purchase the items from TRU in the first place were no longer deals). There was no option to edit my order or even cancel it within the email.
I was within the time frame for canceling manually and did so, but a hold was on my account for 8 days after the fact.
A day prior to my 11/23 order, I was going to place an order for 5 Nintendo Wii games until I realized they were going to charge me $24.11 for standard (slow) US shipping on 5 games.
Not only is the "Free Shipping on *Everything*" Promotion total false advertisement, TRU shipping charges are astronomically high compared to actual shipping costs. Needless to say I did not place this order.
ToyRus for Skylanders
i soooo regret buy the skylander because is a nonse game my son does not like it at all, when i went to toysrus to return it there where like no return on this item only exchange for the same item. How could that be possible.??they whre like because the videogame is opened..of course it has to be open in order to try it!!!!

Its December 1st and I've Been sitting here waiting for Toys R Us to bring me my stuff from layaway for 2 hours!! People has come and gone with their layaways but I'm still here!
I'll never shop at another toys r us again. This was my first AND LAST time ever coming here!! Worst customer service I've ever received! This is how you treat Sailors trying to take care of their families after not seeing them for almost nine months??
Y'all got to do better! I work in a supply room for the Navy and if somebody's stuff came up missing that would be my ***!

I absolutely dislike Toys R Us after our experience this evening. I grew up buying clothes and toys, from when my parents took me there until purchases I make for my kids, but after ruining my daughters 7th birthday, I vow I will never spend another $1 or waste another minute in any Toys R Us locations.
The experience I encountered was at the Hayward, CA location when I was at the counter with my money out to spend $200, all I wanted was a bike and accessories for my 7 year old. I brought the ticket to the cashier, she said they only have 2 bikes left and those were the display models, which cost $15 extra (because they're preassembled & very dirty), I didn't want a preassembled bike, I don't mind taking 15 minutes to put it together myself, mind you, there were about 30 tickets in the pocket attached to the bike, so I'm thinking there are many available, isn't that what it means? If there are only 2 bikes left, why are there so many tickets attached to the bike, it doesn't make sense? So I had the feeling that since it was closing time, they were being very lazy not wanting to get it from the back, so basically, they want to charge me an extra $15 for a dirty bike and worse, their laziness.
I mean WTH?!? I walked out of there without spending a penny and my birthday girls' broken heart. I'll take my money to Walmart or Costco where it's wanted.
I just can't believe I had the money ready and they sold me out of the sale, unbelievable. I spend each day on the phone providing exceptional service to people that are not ready to spend their money, but understand I am providing reasons why they should.

You got what you paid for: wrapping paper. Somebody also had to wrap your gift, so you're essentially paying somebody to do it for you.
If you don't like it, do it yourself. Lol
