A relative purchased a Cinderella Carriage Toy for my daughter (3 years old) for Christmas. When we opened the package, we found a white pill taped (some type of sleeping pill) inside of the packaging. It appears that the item was returned to Toys R' Us and then repackaged and resold to us. There was someone elses name on an order tag taped on the box.

We called Toys R' Us to notify them of this incident and they have been horrible. The customer service rep yelled at my wife telling her that we should have returned the item on Christmas Eve when it was open and then told her that it was the manufacturers problem not Toys R Us. We have since been contacted by the corporate office who told us that it was a problem for Mattell the manufacturer and not them. We have told Toys R Us several times that we are not trying to get anything from them and just want an explination about how this potentially dangerous incident happened.

They have told us that they dont need to provide any kind of explination and at this point are not even returing our calls anymore. They never even offered to replace the toy.

A representative from Mattelle (the manufaturer) did call us and they were very nice. We told them about our treatment from Toys R Us and they were also shocked by it.

Monetary Loss: $30.
