I am an avid online shopper having 2 small children and being pregnant with a 3rd does not leave much free time. I choose to shop online whenever possible but after the experience I had with Toys Rus online ordering it is enough to reconsider. I have actually have spent thousands of dollars at the store since having kids.

On Friday there was a midnight sale where items would come on sale every hour. I wanted to get the Frozen Travel Trunk that was 50%. I have went on the computer exactly at 10pm, found the item, placed it in the cart, went to find another item to qualify for the free shipping over $25. I have been able to successfully place my order, happy to get this item for my 2 girls. My happiness was short lived as on the final screen of my order-the thank you page in small red print there was a notice that I did not even see at first the item I came to the site was removed., without this item I would not have placed the order at all.

When I received the order confirmation invoice there was also a shipping charge of $8.55 since I no longer qualified for the free shipping.

At this point I contacted the customer services and landed on a representative that was completely incompetent, he kept on the phone for 2 hours to try and credit my shipping info and offer me some kind of discount. He also told me that there was nothing in stock but my friend who was in the store the next day saw many of these products at full price. After keeping me on the phone for 2 hours he had to call the manager and no one cared about my ordeal. I still do not know if I received my credit, my discount all I know my girls will not be getting what they wanted for Christmas.

This whole promotion was a scam Toys rus never planned to sell the sale item but just used as a ploy to get more sales. This is very unfortunate that retail chain of this size needs to use such tactics to get sales. I will definitely will no longer be buying anything at this store. I would hope more and more people realize what a huge scam the store is and get other children stores to shop at.
